+ What is Bamboo?
Bamboo is mobile app that allows you to order and pay in advance in great cafés and restaurants relieving the need to wait.
+ What's the story behind Bamboo?
Our two impatient founders were frustrated with the amount of friction involved in the current payment process in restaurants. The more they explored the problem the more they saw how it also effects the restaurant who want to serve more customers in a shorter space of time. So in June 2016, when they both finished college they started building Bamboo.
+ How does it work?
Use Bamboo to order at participating restaurants. When in your cart you'll be given an estimate of your arrival time or you can set a custom pickup time. Once ordered, you get notified when your order is being prepped and ready to collect. When you get your order is ready, simply go to pick up area in the store and mention you ordered on Bamboo. Your order is paid for and you'll automatically receive your loyalty rewards.
+ Do I need to pay extra?
No, Bamboo is completely free for customers.
+ Where can I use Bamboo?
Bamboo is currently only available in Dublin City.
+ What do I do when my order is ready?
Go to the pickup area and let a member of staff you know you ordered on Bamboo and you'll be given your order
+ How do I change my order after it's been submitted?
Message a member of the team through the 'contact support' button on the final screen. As long as the order hasn't been started it should be possible to cancel and re-submit. Once an order is cancelled a refund is automatically issued.
+ What if I need to cancel my order?

+ When will I be refunded if my order is declined?
Once an order is cancelled or declined, a reverse transfer takes place and a refund immediately occurs.
+ I'm running late, can I delay my order?
You'll have to contact a member of the team through the 'contact support' button on the final screen. We'll get in touch with the restaurant as soon as possible and attempt to delay, though this is not always possible.
+ What happens when I get a refund?
When a restaurant declines an order or when a refund takes place in a short period of time it will appear in the form of a reversal instead of a refund. Therefore the original charge drops off your statement, and a separate credit is not issued. If you look at your statement you should see the initial payment will have disappeared.
+ Why can't I pay in cash?
Our goal is to reduce the wait time by streamlining the transaction process. By having to deal cash in the store it only adds on to this and delays the experience.
+ Is the payment method secure?
Yes. Your card details are never shared with anybody. We do not have access to anything but the last four digits of your card number and the expiration date.
+ How do I change my payment method?
Tap the navigation in the top left and go to Payment Methods. Here you can add new cards, remove cards by swiping left as well as change default cards.
+ Do I get a receipt with Bamboo?
Yes, we email you a receipt once a payment occurs. Your order summary will be in your Order History.
