  1. About Privacy Policy
    In this Privacy Policy:
    1. "We" and "Us" and "Bamboo" are references to Mahalo Limited, a company incorporated in Ireland with registered number 589798 and registered address at Suite 2.08, NCI Business Centre, Mayor Street, IFSC, Dublin 1, Ireland.
    2. "Goods" means any products or services listed for sale by the Merchant via Bamboo
    3. "Merchant", “You” and “Your” means an establishment that offers its Goods for sale via Bamboo.
    4. "The Partner Application" means the software application published by Bamboo on the Clover app market, allowing a Merchant to process and fulfill End User’s orders.
    5. "End User" means the person using the Bamboo to make and pay for Orders relating to the Merchant products or services.
    6. “Data” means the data collected about your business.
    7. “Clover API” means the Clover provided REST API.
    8. This policy explains what types of information we collect when you use Bamboo and the basis on which any data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your data and how we will treat it. By disclosing your information to us by using Bamboo, or speaking to us over the telephone you consent to the collection, storage and processing of your information as stated in this policy.
    9. Bamboo uses the information we collect from you to provide our service to you. We will not rent, sell or share your information with any other company for its own marketing purposes without your consent except where mentioned in this policy.
  2. What information do we collect?
    1. We may collect, store and use the following kinds of information:
      1. general merchant information including the name, Business name, address, email address, telephone number, opening hours, and promotional images;
      2. Inventory/menu details including menu item names, prices, descriptions, and categories
      3. Loyalty scheme/reward scheme details including the quantity of points required and the applicable inventory categories
    2. when you contact us by email or telephone or through any contact form provided on Bamboo (https://bambooapp.ie/contact), we may ask you to provide some or all of the information set out in paragraph (i) above;
    3. by installing the Bamboo Partner Application, you are consenting to the collection of information, as outlined in The Partner Application’s current Clover App Market listing, via the Clover API
    4. We may also ask you to complete surveys and give feedback that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
  3. How do we use collected information?
    We may use your information for the following purposes:
    1. to manage and administer Bamboo;
    2. to improve the partner on boarding experience;
    3. to provide our end users with relevant and correct information while using the Bamboo service;
    4. to improve your partner experience by personalising Bamboo;
    5. to enable you to use Bamboo and The Partner Application;
    6. to send you order receipts for purchases made through Bamboo;
    7. to send you newsletters, order reports and other relevant and targeted promotional communications;
    8. to deal with enquiries, complaints and feedback from you and our service providers;
    9. to notify you of changes to our Service;
    10. to send you emails offering you to take part in a survey and/or give feedback;
    11. and to analyse and improve the services offered on Bamboo. 
  4. Where we store your data
    1. The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. By submitting your data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
    2. We take the security of your data very seriously. In particular we use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that appropriate security measures are in place to protect your data. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and so we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through Bamboo; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
    3. We take steps to protect your information against unlawful processing and damage or loss. The transmission of information is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to Bamboo, and is transmitted at your own risk.
  5. Accessing and updating your data
    1. Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your data and information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your data, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.
    2. We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).
    3. Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to maintain our services in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Because of this, after you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.
    4. Your data can be updated via The Partner Application or by contacting Bamboo directly via our in-application support line, website, telephone, or email (listed below).
  6. Cookie Usage
    1. Cookies are small pieces of information which are issued to your computer when you visit a website and which store and sometimes track information about your use of the App. If you do not accept to use these cookies you will be unable to use our App. By using our app you consent to the use of cookies.
  7. Changes to our privacy policy
    1. We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.  Your continued use of the The Partner App will mean that you agree to the amended Terms of Use.
    2. We will keep the Policy under regular review and we will place any updates on this website. The Policy was last updated on 31st January 2017.
